Size Guide
The right size comes before the rug’s pattern. Below, you’ll find the size that works for your room and furniture layout; each size links to our rugs in that size. Before deciding, mark out your chosen size on the floor with masking tape - this ten-minute test can prevent the most expensive mistake.
Center the rug
In small living rooms, leave the furniture off the rug, with an equal gap on all sides. The rug sits under the coffee table like an airy island, making the room feel more spacious. For this setup 160 × 230 or 140 × 200.
Front legs on the rug
In a medium-sized living room, place only the front legs of the sofa and armchairs on the rug. This visually brings the seating area together without making the room feel cramped. The setup that works most often: 170 × 240 or 200 × 300.
All furniture on the rug
In larger living rooms, keep the entire seating group on the rug. Leave at least 20 cm of rug around the furniture; otherwise, pieces will extend beyond the edge and the layout will look cluttered. 240 × 340 or 250 × 350.
Sectional sofa alignment
If you have a sectional sofa, align its inside corner with the corner of the rug. The remaining rug area accommodates the coffee table and walkway, creating balance. 200 × 300 or in a larger living room 240 × 340.
Frame the furniture
In open-plan spaces with two sofas facing each other, the rug should frame the entire seating area. Leave 25–45 cm of visible floor between the rug and the walls on all sides. Size for this setup 300 × 400.
Round or square table
For a round table seating 4–8, the rug should remain under the chairs even when they’re pulled back. Q 200 is a safe choice; Q 160 works only for small tables. Q indicates the diameter.
Table for 6
Add 75 cm to each side of a 90 × 160 cm table. When a chair is pulled out, its back legs should still be on the rug; otherwise, they’ll catch on the rug’s edge every time someone gets up. Result: 240 × 340.
Table for 8
The same calculation for a 100 × 200 cm table 250 × 350 provides. If the dining area isn't separate from the living room, a rug that clearly frames the table will distinguish the two areas.
Large dining table
For a long table seating 8–10, choose a generously sized rug. 300 × 400 leaves room for chairs to move, serving, and passage around the table all at once.
Small bedroom
In narrow rooms, tuck the rug under the bottom third of the bed; leave 40–60 cm of rug visible at the foot. 160 × 230 is sufficient. Alternative: place it symmetrically on both sides 80 × 150.
160 cm bed base
For a double bed, tuck the rug 2/3 of the way under the bed and let it extend in front of the bedside tables. Leave 60–70 cm of walking space on both sides. Size: 200 × 300.

What Is TENCEL™ (Lyocell)?
TENCEL™ is the brand name for Lyocell fiber, made from wood pulp sourced from sustainably managed forests. Most of the solvent used in production is recovered. TENCEL™ fiber is known for its softness, moisture regulation, and natural sheen.

Care:
- Vacuum in the direction of the pile with the rotating brush turned off.
- TENCEL™ is sensitive to water: immediately blot spills with a dry cloth; do not wet-clean.
- Do not wash at home; professional carpet cleaning is recommended.
- Seeing light and dark shades depending on the light is a natural characteristic of lustrous fibers, not a defect.
Delivery
Once your order is ready, it is handed over to Yurtiçi Kargo and delivered to your door within 1-3 business days after dispatch. Preparation time varies by product; the estimated delivery date for your region is shown on the product page. Every shipment is insured until delivery.
Shipping fee
Shipping is free on orders of 10,000 TL or more. For orders below this amount, the shipping fee is 999 TL.
International shipping
Worldwide shipping is handled by DHL Express and is free.

We offer 3 interest-free installments on all cards.
Returns
If your rug isn’t what you expected, you can request a return within 14 days of delivery through My Account › My Orders by selecting “Request a return.” Once your request is approved, your return code will be sent via WhatsApp. You don’t need to take the rug to a shipping branch — simply call your nearest Yurtiçi Kargo branch to arrange pickup from your address. We cover the return shipping cost.
Exchanges
If you’d like a different size, color, or a completely different rug, you can request an exchange within 14 days by selecting “Request an exchange.” Your new rug will be sent once we receive the one you returned; shipping is on us. If there’s a price difference, we’ll send you a payment link. If your new choice costs less, the difference will be refunded to your card. Rugs made to custom dimensions cannot be returned or exchanged.
Warranty
All our rugs come with a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Immediate Action and Liquid Spills
When spills occur, timing is critical. Use a clean, slightly damp cloth to lift the liquid from the surface by gently blotting only - never rub. Always work in the direction of the rug pile (the fibers’ natural lay). Rubbing can damage the shape of delicate fibers such as TENCEL™ and viscose. If in doubt, stop immediately.
Routine Care and Light Balance
For your weekly cleaning routine, always use vacuum cleaners with low suction power. High-powered upright vacuums and stiff brushes can damage the natural structure of handwoven yarns. To balance natural fibers’ reaction to light and prevent localized tonal differences (fading), we recommend changing your rug’s direction every 2 to 6 months.
The Expert Touch (Professional Cleaning)
Noble fibers such as handwoven TENCEL™, viscose, and New Zealand wool should not come into contact with household chemical cleaners. These products can irreversibly damage the rug’s silky sheen and structural integrity. For a thorough clean, seek help only from professional rug care centers specializing in natural fibers.
Washing Instructions
The exquisite pieces in the Carpetdocia collections are not suitable for machine washing due to their construction. (Only specific models explicitly labeled “Washable” in their name can be washed in home washing machines using a low-temperature, delicate cycle.)
