The Story of This Rug
Jaipur has been the heart of handwoven rugs for centuries. This rug was created by the skilled artisans of Rajasthan, who combined high-quality wool and silk yarns at a knot density of 10 x 10. Each knot is a tangible expression of a generation's accumulated knowledge. The classic Indo-Persian arabesque pattern is a visual language preserved in India's weaving workshops for centuries and passed down to the present day.
Why Choose a One-of-a-Kind Handwoven Jaipur Rug
- Each piece is unique; no second copy exists in the same pattern and colors
- The wool and silk blend pile reflects light, adding depth and vibrancy to the space
- A 10 x 10 knot density ensures the intricate arabesque details are rendered in full
- Natural materials and mineral dyes minimize the risk of allergic reactions in the home
- The handweaving tradition provides a sustainable livelihood for hundreds of families in rural India
Color and Pattern
A cool-toned arabesque ground ranging from steel blue to gray-blue. Framed by a classic Indo-Persian pattern, it lends an academic and sophisticated character to the interior.
Care Recommendations
- Regularly remove surface dust with a soft-bristled vacuum
- Treat stains immediately; blot gently without rubbing
- Annual professional rug cleaning is recommended; wet cleaning at home is not recommended
- Protect it from direct sunlight; filter the light with curtains to prevent fading
- Using an appropriately thick rug pad underneath both extends its lifespan and prevents slipping
When you bring this rug into your room, you invite in not only a floor covering but also Jaipur's thousands-of-years-old weaving story.

Protect Elegance
A delicate care routine should be adopted to preserve the original splendor and silky texture of Carpetdocia's handwoven and natural-fiber pieces, which add value to your living space, for generations to come.
Immediate Action and Contact with Liquids
When liquid is spilled, timing is the most critical factor. Using a clean, slightly damp cloth, remove the liquid from the surface by gently blotting only, never rubbing. Always work in the direction of the rug's pile (the natural direction in which the fibers lie). Rubbing can damage the shape of delicate fibers such as TENCEL™ and viscose. If you are unsure, stop immediately.
Routine Care and Light Balance
For your weekly cleaning routine, always use vacuum cleaners with low suction power. High-powered upright vacuum cleaners and stiff brushes can damage the natural structure of handwoven yarns. To balance the reaction of natural yarns to light and prevent localized tonal differences (fading), we recommend changing the direction of your rug every 2 to 6 months.
The Expert Touch (Professional Cleaning)
Noble textures such as handwoven fibers, TENCEL™, viscose, and New Zealand wool should not come into contact with household chemical cleaners. Such products can irreversibly damage the rug's silky sheen and structural integrity. For deep cleaning, seek assistance only from professional rug care centers specializing in natural fibers.
